A cost-effective solution to prevent water damage in homes and businesses.
High-Sensitivity 24K Plated Sensor — Equipped with a premium 24K plated detection board for maximum sensitivity. Designed for repeated use – simply dry the sensor board after activation, and it’s ready to use again.

The hero guardian of my fish and friends room.
Alright, aquarium aficionados, let’s splash into the Topvico Water Alarms Leak Detector—a nifty little lifesaver I’ve repurposed to keep my slow-filling tanks from turning my living room into an unintentional water park. This gizmo’s got my back (and my floors) with a setup so clever it deserves a sitcom, and an alarm that’s loud enough to get my attention without sending me into cardiac arrest. Buckle up for a wet-and-wild review that’s equal parts praise and playful jabs!First off, the quality here is surprisingly solid for something I’m using like a DIY tank babysitter. The Topvico’s built sturdy—none of that flimsy, “oops it broke” nonsense—and the sensor’s reliable as a loyal dog waiting for treats. I rigged it up with a hook (MacGyver, eat your heart out), dangling it over the aquarium edge like a tiny lifeguard on duty. As I trickle water in at a snail’s pace—because who has time to stand there with a hose?—the moment that H2O kisses the sensor, it completes the circuit like a matchmaking wizard. Boom, the alarm kicks in, and I’m alerted before my shrimp get an unscheduled swim across my hardwood. The sound? Oh, it’s a hoot. It’s not some ear-piercing banshee shriek that’d make me fling my coffee across the room—think more “polite but insistent tap on the shoulder.” It’s adequately audible, cutting through my humming of sea shanties as I tend my tanks, but chill enough that my cat doesn’t bolt for the ceiling. I’ve got it perched just where my waterline goal sits, and when that sweet, sweet beep hits, I strut over like a victorious admiral, shutting off the flow with nary a drop spilled. My floors? Dry as a desert. My shrimp? Blissfully unaware they almost got a free eviction notice. Now, it’s not all smooth sailing. The Topvico’s technically a leak detector, so I’m bending its destiny a bit here—it’s like hiring a bouncer to be your party DJ. It works, but the sensor’s not exactly tailored for this gig; I had to fiddle with the hook placement to get it juuuust right, or it’d either cry wolf too early or nap through the overflow. And while the alarm’s pleasant enough, I wouldn’t mind a volume knob—sometimes I’m blasting tunes and miss the memo until I spot the blinking light. Still, for a gadget doing double duty, it’s punching above its weight. For keeping my slow-fill aquariums in check, the Topvico Water Alarms Leak Detector is a quirky hero. It distributes peace of mind like a pro, ensuring my baby shrimp stay in their watery kingdom and not on a rescue raft in my kitchen. It’s high-quality enough to trust, and that custom hook setup? Chef’s kiss. If you’re a slow-filler like me, it’s a solid sidekick—just don’t ask it to sing karaoke. Four stars, a soggy high-five, and a hearty “beep beep, no weep weep!”

Effective/definitely cost effective. Can save time & prevent loss of records and furniture damage
Only issue I had is the markings for finding the polarity of battery installation and even finding the on/off switch are MUCH too subtle. I KNEW what to look for and even I had trouble finding them.My sister didn’t like having a non-adjustable volume control. She wanted a two-stage system (and it makes sense) where it starts off with a relatively soft beep, and only if it continues for awhile without attention does it switch to maximum volume (it would also increase battery life during an alarm situation). But, I releaze adding that option would increase the cost.A similar alarm technology (electrically identical) after a bathroom water leak saved me days of cleanup and prevented large-scale damage to records and furniture in the adjacent bedroom. I had to replace it with a new one (although this was 3-pack was the same price as the 1 I bought back then) only after about 20 years of effective use. I easily modified one of these to switch a pump on and off with a few added components.

Works great for a great price
This gadget has saved our wood floor on more than one occasion when water leaked from our (constantly-malfunctioning) refrigerator. The profile of the battery pack is low enough to fit under a refrigerator, out of sight. But the long cord means you can store the battery pack portion away from the water (e.g. on a shelf, hang from an angle stop bracket, etc.) and place just the sensor where it might get wet (like directly under the sink). It’s easy to test whether it’s still working (or if the battery is good): just place a drop of water on the sensor. The alarm is quite loud (it’s woken us in the middle of the night), but it’s easy to quiet the alarm by flipping the switch to “off” on the battery pack (just remember to turn it back on when the sensor is dry). Because they are so affordable, it makes sense to place them wherever a leak might occur (under sinks, by the water heater, etc.).There is a slightly less expensive look-alike of this product, but THIS one is better. It has double-sided moisture sensor, whereas others that look the same only have the sensor on just one side.

Loud low cost water leak sensors. Excellent!
Good product for peace of mind and very affordable cost. Works well. Takes 9 volt battery. Highly recommended if you don’t want high cost damage to your house from water leakage.

Work but not loud as expected
My problem is simple, I need these in my basement and unfortunately cannot hear them go off from upstairs. If you live in a ranch, single floor dwelling these will work great, but if you’re in a multi floor dwelling you’ll never or barely hear the annoying siren type sound these give off. The device works great, the alarm is just not loud enough for me, retuned and replaced with another brand; Instapark Water Leakage Detection Alarm and Sensor, Low Battery Alert Pack of 3, which I’ve had for years now and have all over the house, under each bath/kitchen sinks, around hot water heater/boiler and in sump pits and they are loud and never failed. Thought I give these a try and as they say you get what you pay for.
