Can a separate sensor without a gateway be linked to the APP to achieve remote monitoring?
The sensor cannot be intelligent when used alone, and cannot be linked to the APP, but it can be used to sound an alarm when there is a water leak. If you have more needs, you can purchase our H5044 gateway packages.
Can I use it with my gateway from another brand?
NO, GoveeLife H5059 sensor can only be used with the GoveeLife H5044 gateway and is not compatible with any other gateways.(You can check the product model by the model number on the back of the product)
How to adjust the sound if it is too low or too loud? Can the volume be lowered or turned off during sleep?
Press the sensor button twice in a row to adjust the volume. If you have a gateway product, you can also adjust the volume through the APP. You can adjust it to mute or low volume during sleep.
Does the device have batteries in it? Do I need to install batteries before I can use it?
The battery is built into the device. The new device can be used directly without installing the battery.
How to replace the battery of the sensor? Can’t find the screw position?
There are 4 waterproof plastic pads on the sensor. You need to use a tool to remove the waterproof plastic pads and then unscrew the screws to replace the battery. For details, you can check out our video: “How to replace the battery”

Great system, worth every penny.
Easy to setup and name the sensors. They work perfectly. Within a week of installing had a water leak that I was able to stop within 1 minute of the leak because the sensors were so loud and picked up the leak instantly. Email, text, and app notifications were as quick as the alarm, I knew which sensor to go to in order to find the leak.

Works very well. Have 10 of the water sensors throughout my house located under my sinks, refrigerator, air handler units, water heater and water filter station. Very simple to activate using the Govee app. This has already notified me twiceFor water leaks on my refrigerator ice maker and air handler unit. The alarm is Very loud with good WiFi connectivity. The size is small enough to fit in tight spaces. This is a good value and highly recommend.

This product is very well made. As for long-term functionality remains to be seen.
This product is very well made—from the outer case to the internal CCA. I know this because I opened one unit and modified it to detect water levels using a non-contact sensor, and also adapted it to run on an external power source. The other three units I’m using are completely stock with no modifications. After seeing the internal build quality firsthand, I can say it’s solidly constructed. As for long-term functionality and reliability, that remains to be seen.

Great option for water leak detection
Bought to put around our house. Easy to set-up. Can’t speak to longevity but tested them for water and worked perfect. Great for places where there is potential for water issues. We have Ring.Com products and this is a much cheaper option to cover more areas of the home.

Great leak detectors. Set up around my home. Under sink one worked almost immediately telling me there was a leak from faucet that otherwise wouldn’t have been detected for a long time. I followed a friends advice and ordered these Govee Life water leak detectors which I placed at every sink, toilet, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all appliances with a water supply connection. Installation was easy after you have loaded the app on your phone and installed the gateway which connects to your WiFi network. The gateway is just a small controller that plugs into any receptacle in the house and once connected, allows you to add as many detectors as you need. The claimed battery life for the detectors is about 2 years, and hopefully that is accurate. The app will alert you of any water leak or low battery power condition. The peace of mind you get from the relatively low cost is worth it in my opinion. My friend had a slow leak in a guest bathroom faucet supply line that was infrequently used. By the time the leak was discovered, it had damaged the cabinet and the floor with mold. Cost was over $15K to fix. These leak detectors will go a long way to preventing that sort of damage, so it was worth it to me to install them. Highly recommend.

They were easy to set up and seem to work well. I bought this model because of the five year battery charge. I hope that that will be correct.Be sure to get the right hub that is compatible with the right sensors.I like the fact that you can set up alarms for your email and get a text alarm. You have to go into the settings with each sensor and turn on the capability to go to your email and your text. It doesn’t happen automatically.The sensors are ultrasensitive. One of the alarms went off in my air conditioning one day later because there was some condensation from the cold pipes. So I Put an aluminum pan under the pipes to catch the dripping, and put the sensor slightly beside the pan so that it won’t pick up this minor dripping, which is not a leak, but rather normal functioning of the air conditioning.
