Wonderful product . Tested the switchbot many times and it worked flawlessly. For me, the setup was easy and it gives me a piece of mind. If I have a leak at the house, and if I’m not home, the app will send me a message to my phone saying I have a problem .

Great add to Alexa-enabled home automation
Great addition to my Alexa-enabled home automation. Saved me when my sewer backed up due to tree roots. Allowed me time to turn off water and seek professional help. With this sensor, I have created a personalized alert that goes to all Alexa devices in my home and my mobile devices as well. I coupled it with a pan/tilt Blink camera to be able to monitor my mechanical room from anywhere.

Reliable Leak Detection, but Difficult Battery Access
I recently placed the SwitchBot Water Leak Detector under my kitchen sink due to some recent leaks, and it works great! I opted for the version with the cable, which provides four points of water detection — on both the main body (top and bottom) and the sensor cable (top and bottom). This gives me extra peace of mind with more coverage.The sensor is incredibly sensitive to moisture, so even just slightly damp fingers will trigger the alarm. The alarm itself is loud enough to be clearly heard when needed.The only downside is the battery compartment. Opening it was surprisingly difficult, and I ended up bending and breaking the small pick that came with the device. I had to use a blunt-tip pair of scissors to pry it open. I’m not looking forward to replacing the battery when the time comes, as it was quite frustrating.

Easy setup. Doesn’t require a hub.
This is the best one on the market. I’ve done enough research to know as I already had to return another where you have to buy a separate hub for your house. This did not. This did exactly what I wanted it to do by having a very simple set up with an extender wire to detect leak in my sump pump. It easily connected to my smart phone and my home network, and I had it up and running in about 10 minutes. Excellent product if I could give it six stars, I would.

Works great!
Purchased this for my A/C overflow drain pan since I’m having issues with the drain lines. I’ve been alerted twice now and it’s fantastic! Before I would have to go in the attic to look at the water level or most times the drain will overflow and leak down into the garage from the ceiling. I like have the multi sensors; I have the main in the pan set back some but the level sensor I have on the corner of the pan where the lowest point is for it to overflow.

Great product. Easy to set up and use. Excellent price for the protection you get. I use in my basement for the sump pump and hot water heater. Great piece of mind especially when not home. Alarm is very loud and the phone notifications are a big selling point. Highly recommend.

Poorly Designed Product
I bought this because it supports Bluetooth. I would use wi-fi, but they will not let me keep my phone on 5G with my wi-fi. I tried to connect the Bluetooth multiple times but their app will not scan their barcode on the device. I have a new Pixel with the latest software version, and I scan QR codes quite often. The problem is with their app. So their app gave me the option to enter a pairing number, but does not tell you where to find it. I could not see it listed in their user guide. I looked over the outside and inside of the device, but there is no pairing number. My thought is it should be as easy to pair to my phone as my cars, ear buds, etc. This is a poorly designed product with little thought given to the user experience.

Quiet Alarm, But Notifications Work Well
Update: Bumped this up to 4 stars after support reached out to me wanting to fix the problems I described. Great customer support, and I will do probably buy a few sensors for personal use in my basement at home now.They are sending a new sensor to replace the one that had issues with the battery compartment, and will work to try and address the volume level of the audible alarm.——I’d rate these devices at 3.5 stars. I purchased three for our business to monitor water exposure near critical network infrastructure, as recommended in a recent risk assessment.The build quality is decent, though one of the battery compartments didn’t seal properly. Each sensor connects to the main unit via a cord, which I mounted on the wall away from water sources. The audible alarm is disappointingly quiet—you won’t hear it from outside of the room they’re in if there’s any ambient noise. These are installed in equipment rooms that have constant noise from fans and running network hardware. However, I rely on email and text alerts, which work as intended.Connectivity-wise, one device struggled to connect to Wi-Fi but eventually stabilized. The app is simple to use, and alerts function reliably. After over a month, they’ve performed as expected during testing, though I haven’t had an actual need for them yet.

initial issue: I placed the batteries, and tried the sensor cable, it straight up doesn’t work, the sensor on the front of the device does, but no the back and the sensor cable, uselessEdit: there are tiny pins behind the device, if you realize that your cable doesn’t work either, push the pins forward with something and put the cache back onthis device is amazing, you get an alarm that you can tone down or straight up disable it, and still have the notifications on your phone, i use it in a 70L trash bin that i use to store water for aquarium water changes that i have marked with different quantities of water (20,30,40,50,60L) i placed the cable sensor in and hold it with a magnet on the exterior so i can adjust the height of it and get a notification when my RO water reaches the desired amount of water i need

Comprei o sensor de fuga de água da SwitchBot com cabo e estou muito satisfeito.A instalação é simples — basta colocar o sensor no chão ou fixar o cabo onde possa haver fugas (como junto à máquina de lavar ou ao cilindro).Testei com algumas gotas de água e o alarme disparou de imediato, tanto no próprio sensor como na app.Com o Hub SwitchBot, recebo alertas no telemóvel mesmo fora de casa, o que dá muita tranquilidade.Produto discreto, preciso e de excelente qualidade.Recomendo fortemente para quem quer proteger a casa de forma inteligente!
