Great for tracking RV rental pad
Update review 4.4.25 – Treatlife app stopped functioning and I moved over to Smartlife. Looks like they are listening to our feedback! I now have the ability to export data in excel! Exactly what I wanted. There was no subscription fee. Moving from 4 stars to 5 stars!Original review – Setup was easy. I use the TreatLife app for 2 wifi plugs and decided to see if it would work with this meter and it found it set it up without a problem! I like that it goes to the cloud, so if there are any power disconnects, the data is not lost. My only gripe and why I’m giving a 4 star, is because there is not a way to do custom reporting on a time frame for total KWh used. I have an RV pad someone is renting, and it would be nice to be able to do a report during my bill cycle. I have to add up the days individually which takes time. I would like to be able to export the data to excel but it doesn’t seem possible.

Only 50% functional
I chose this product because of the price point and now I understand why it’s cheaper than other similar products on the market. Even though the boxing was neat, good directions on installation and app guidance were something left to be desired. According to the images the product is supposed to come with two amp clamps with white and black wires. This particular one came with 1 with black and white wires and another with a red wire and black wire which were of a smaller wire gauge. It took some time to tinker with the app settings to finally learn how to read and set up the device. It has two channels only one of which gave any reading. After swapping the amp clamps between channels A and B it was clear that channel A was dead. I’m disappointed that I could not monitor two different circuits in my breaker panel. Even though the app accurately reflects channel B pretty accurately, I think I will be looking for another product on the market which is more robust and dependable.

Impressive so far
Bought this to replace my Efergy which died. I have 240 volts, 120+120. It wasn’t clear whether this would work but turns out it works fine. I had to reverse the clamp on one wire so it didn’t register as generating.Thanks for making smaller clamps! The previous thing had huge clamps. The wifi readout on my phone is much handier than the old standalone readout. And no batteries to install! I can view from anywhere even out on the road away from home. The reading seems accurate and it has a graph for usage over time. It was easy to install and set up the app. I am quite happy and the price was reasonable.

Should be hackable into ESPHome with some effort.
I received this and immediately popped it open. It has a WBR3 controller. In theory it should be flashable into the ESPHome ecosystem, but I have not done any work on that yet. It is pin compatible with an ESP 12 module if nothing else. Here are some pics of the internals. (There are pins connecting the boards together I de-soldered to get the pictures)

App sucks, no access to raw data, only watts not amps
Pretty unimpressed. This thing is wifi, and it connects fine – but it will _only_ beam your data back to the cloud to present it in a really crappy app. I just want to measure total amps – and be able to zoom in on time and “leg” – but it can’t do it.I’m giving it 1 star for decent wifi connection, and reasonable design of the hardware. Sadly its pretty useless for me.

low cost solution, easy to integrate, works very welll
After reviewing many other solutions, this was the best, most efficient, compact and low cost. If you want to monitor a couple of loads or a single EV charger this works very well. Worked like a charm from the beginning and can be monitored via WIFI remotely. Perfect for Airbnb EV consumption tracking! Would buy it again!

Surprisingly pretty solid if the info youre looking for isnt super critical. Easy install and reliable data. The app has some left to be desired but it was all cheap. However i did not verify accuracy. Also is there anyway to reset this thing?

Works but…
This came with zero instructions, not even a link to the correct app. Once I scoured through the listing further app name and got the app I decided to link it while close to my router. My service panel is 12 feet away from the router as the crow flies if the crow could fly through sheet metal, plywood subfloor, and a few layers of plywood cabinets but it still has a “very poor” connection once installed.Did I mention zero instructions? Does it work? Yes. But without instructions you are basically setting a purchaser up for failure.
