Reliable and Accurate Moisture Meter
I’ve been using the Pinless Moisture Meter for various DIY projects, and it’s proven to be an incredibly reliable tool. It has been particularly useful in checking the moisture content of walls and lumber before starting any renovations or building projects. This has helped me avoid potential issues with water damage or mold.What I really like is the non-invasive nature of this meter. It gives accurate readings without damaging the surface, which is great when dealing with finished wood or painted walls. The digital display is clear and easy to read, making it straightforward to use even for someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy.One thing to note is that the readings can vary slightly if you don’t hold it flat against the surface, so it takes a bit of practice to get consistent results. However, once you get the hang of it, it becomes a quick and reliable way to check for moisture.This moisture meter has become an essential part of my toolkit. It’s definitely worth the investment for any DIYer or homeowner looking to prevent water damage and ensure the longevity of their projects.

It’s basic. It works. Hard to read in sunlight.
The meter seems to do what it’s supposed to do and the reviews bear that out. It appears to be fairly accurate, it’s easy to use. It’s not going to provide the same results as a $600 meter but I don’t need that; I only need to know whether and how fast my wood is drying and the dryness compared to other wood in my shop that I know is stable and dry.My deduction of a star is based on the fact that the meter is difficult to read in bright sunlight where some of my wood is stored. The box suggests that the screen can be lit but am unable to find a switch do so. A lit screen would be preferable to the flashlight of which I have no use.My other criticism is the instructions are in gray 2 point type and the buttons printed on the page are blackened out an impossible to read. It wouldn’t cost much in paper or ink to make instructions legible. When buying this meter, a magnifying glass would be another good purchase if you don’t have one.In short, it works, it’s basic, but under some circumstances both the screen and instructions are hard to read.

Great Little Tool – Accurate, Easy to Use, and Affordable
I originally bought this to measure moisture levels in my Cali Bamboo Mocha Eucalyptus 9/16″ solid flooring — and it worked perfectly for that. I’ve also used it to check plywood moisture on an exterior wall from the inside, and to locate a hidden damp spot behind drywall (see attached photos). I liked it so much I bought a second one as a gift for a friend a few months later. The green backlit display is clear and easy to read. A great and inexpensive little tool that gets the job done!

I always have used Flir in the industry and I’ll be honest I like these moisture meters just as much!! Very affordable. I haven’t dropped it yet so idk about durability but so far. Awesome!

No sé qué tan preciso es, pero hasta la fecha ha medido resultados congruentemente entre cada tabla que he usado. Veremos qué tal mide los cambios de las maderas que pondré a secar.
