Fantastic! Works great
I upgraded from an older Orbi WiFi 6, and the Orbi 970 blows it away. I pay for 1 GB from my ISP but constantly receive 1.5Gb. I couldn’t be happier! Performance was considerably noticeable immediately! Set up was easy. Simply rename your Orbi to the previous name and password used on your router your replacing and everything will connect without re signing in. All my devices run constantly faster. Keep in mind that speeds will vary depending on age and WiFi acceptance on your current devices, i.e. if you have a tv or smart phone that is only capable of let’s say WiFi 4, then that’s all you’ll get, But I will say even my older devices run better. I could go on and on about this router. And best of all it future proofs you for later as your ISP increases speed and you replace devices with newer ones. The app makes setup a breeze. This router will allow for more complicated setups via the Orbi web site where after creating an account you can change just about everything you need if your a power user.

The Best WiFi!!
I previously used the Orbi-Pro WiFi 5 mesh system which at the time was the best available. I found the network ‘reach’ was not the best in my property at times so had to add more satellites, I was happy for some time achieving 300-400Mb speeds over WiFi with my 500Mb service from Spectrum. Upgrading to the Orbi 970 system has been a game-changer. I’m now down to only 4 satellites (required as I have 3 locations that require RJ45 connection) and I’m seeing regular WiFi speeds in the 600-700Mb range. I have not upgraded my service to anything faster; I believe Spectrum now class it as 600Mb but I’m seeing speeds in excess of that which I’m extremely happy with. I’d recommend this system to anyone with a device heavy home; I have 3 adults living here and regularly over 80 devices connected without issue.

Don’t buy this
I’ve been using the Netgear Orbi 970 mesh system for the past month, and unfortunately my experience has been far from the seamless, high‑speed coverage I was promised. Here’s a breakdown of where it falls short:1. Strong Signal, No InternetOn paper, the Orbi 970 delivers rock‑solid Wi‑Fi bars on every device—even in the furthest rooms of my home. In reality, I’ll see full signal strength… and zero internet access. I’ve walked through rooms with maxed‑out bars only to have every browser, streaming app, or smart‑home device report “No Internet.” It’s baffling and infuriating, especially when a quick speed test plugged directly into the modem shows a perfect connection.2. Modem Isn’t the CulpritBefore assuming the Orbi was to blame, I connected straight to my modem and ran multiple speed and stability tests. Everything checked out—consistent gigabit download/upload speeds, no packet loss, rock‑solid pings. Yet once I re‑enable the Orbi, intermittent drops and full “no internet” periods return. Clearly the mesh hardware or firmware is struggling.3. Overpriced for UnderperformanceAt the price point of the Orbi 970, I expected a top‑tier solution: flawless handoffs between satellites, zero downtime, and lightning‑fast throughput. Instead, I’ve lost work calls to random drops, had video streams buffer endlessly despite showing full bars, and wasted hours troubleshooting. It’s simply not acceptable to pay flagship pricing for this level of inconsistency.Bottom Line:If you need a rock‑solid, always‑online home network—especially in a busy household or home office—the Orbi 970 is a poor choice. It looks great, it boasts excellent range, and it may even maintain a strong signal—but it can’t keep you reliably connected. I spent far too much on this system, and I regret not sticking with a wired or lower‑cost mesh option that at least promised stability over hype.

Game-Changer for Seamless Home Wi-Fi
I’ve been struggling with spotty Wi-Fi in my large home for years, but the new Orbi Mesh system has completely transformed our connectivity! Setup was a breeze – literally took under 15 minutes – and now every corner, from the basement office to the backyard patio, has lightning-fast, reliable signal. Streaming 4K videos, online gaming, and video calls are all buttery smooth with no lags or dropouts. The app is intuitive for managing devices and parental controls too. If you’re tired of dead zones, this is the upgrade you need – worth every penny for that peace of mind! Highly recommend for families or remote workers.

Netgear Orbi 970 Review: Blazing Fast WiFi, But at a Cost
I’ve been using the Netgear Orbi 970 for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s a solid mesh WiFi system, but it’s not perfect. The setup was pretty easy, even for someone who isn’t super tech-savvy. The app walks you through everything, and I had the whole thing up and running in about 20 minutes. The coverage is impressive. I have a three-story house with a lot of dead zones, and the Orbi 970 pretty much wiped those out. Speeds are fast and consistent, even when multiple people are streaming or gaming at the same time. I also like that it supports WiFi 7, so it feels future-proof.That said, the price is steep. It’s definitely on the higher end, and I’m not sure everyone needs this much power unless you have a big house or a lot of devices. Also, the units themselves are kind of bulky, so they’re not the easiest to hide. One thing that bugged me is that some advanced features are locked behind a subscription. For the price, I expected more included out of the box. The parental controls and security features are good, but having to pay extra for them feels a bit much.In short, the Orbi 970 is a great choice if you want top-tier performance and don’t mind spending extra. If you’re on a budget or have a smaller space, you might want to look at other options. But if you want fast, reliable WiFi everywhere in your home, it delivers.

It came with 110v POWER ADAPTER. I ordered from amazon.sa, it should be all electronic in KSA is 220v.

I have 4 units in a mesh system, When this works it’s great. However, for the price it is disappointing. My good experiences are tempered by too many drop outs and random disconnects. Occasionally iPhones/Ipads disconnect and the wi fi has to be switched on and off to reconnect. The app is slow and clunky and not really of much help – in particular, devices connected. It often appears out of sync with reality. Also its very irritating that every time the app is opened, Netgear bug you with adverts for paid subscriptions to anti malware protection. It’s a router .. not an advertising platform !!When it works it’s fast – but I couldn’t whole heated recommend this product.

Sin ningún problema y midiendo las velocidades, se aprecia la mejora del mis equipos ya con 8 años de uso, pero que se pudieron integrar a través de cable y como AP Mode

I originally had a basic Velop mesh system and decided to upgrade to a premium option. I chose Netgear, expecting great performance given its price and marketing. However, when I set it up in the same spot as the Velop, the units couldn’t even connect to each other. Despite the large size of the device, I was willing to overlook its appearance for a superior connection. Unfortunately, this turned out to be my worst experience ever, and I felt completely ripped off. I will be replacing it with the Deco X90.

after trying a few other products, this is the only one that managed to cover my full 2 stories house with no gaps in any rooms.. I needed to install one router plus 3 satellites in order to maximize the coverage and cover all the wholes, but after that it’s been working perfectly for more than a year. Also with as many satellites, all rooms have strong coverage with very good speeds. Only issue is it’s one of the most expensive options in the market, but amazing quality and installation is super easy following the steps on their application.
