So cool, so practical, and the Wi-Fi is not a gimmick!
My wife loves coffee and I love tea so I picked this out for a Mother’s Day gift. We have several Govee products already and have been pleased with the quality and functionality, so I thought I would see what benefits a Wi-Fi enabled electric kettle would bring. We were not disappointed.The electric kettle connects via an app that works on Android and iPhone devices. It has a colorful, straightforward display that allows one to schedule the kettle to start at a specific time or can be started manually. My wife likes to schedule this to start in the morning when she gets up. By the time she has her contacts in and is in the kitchen the water is ready for her coffee. I follow behind to make my matcha tea.She’s on her feet all day long and often takes a bath in the evening. She can trigger the kettle to start from the bath, send me a text to fix some night time tea, and we both enjoy a final sip before the day is over.I’m really impressed with this as it adds so much functionality over a manual kettle. We can even set this to start boiling water on our way home from an event in town and it’s hot and ready for us when we get there (think hot chocolate in the winter). The included “keep warm” function is just one more thoughtful touch to this complete solution!

Used this at a party at one of my daughter’s house. Amazing how quick it heats up and how easy it is to use. It does a simple task (heating water) amazingly well. I ordered one before we left her house. My wife loves it.

First electric kettle and I’m impressed so far.
Very light weight kettle, even with water at the max line. Super simple to set up both the physical kettle and the app to connect to WiFi. I noticed the filter attached to the spout that’s removable and I didn’t realize there was one so that’s a nice touch.It ran smooth the first “test” cycle it recommends. It heated the water within five-ish minutes which is very fast for me versus the old fashioned method I used (pot and stove haha). This feels like a quality product and functions as directed so far. This is my first electric kettle so I’ll update if I have any more information to share or issues!I would knock a star off if it was advertised as but I just assumed (that’s on me so I’ll keep it 5/5), but the outside is NOT insulated so it becomes very hot to the touch when it’s heating up and in idle mode. The handle stays cool and the lid is unaffected as well, but if you need to use two hands to pour then I recommend using a hand towel or oven mitt to protect your hand.For only paying $36 and some change, so far it seems it’s been worth the price compared to other electric kettles I was researching. I haven’t had to clean it yet, but just looking at it- it seems rather straightforward and easy to clean given the large opening.

So far, it does what it says: smart kettle you can control from the Govee app. It heats pretty quickly and has a function to keep warm the water which is nice. You can also create your own programs for it, although it does come with some presets which is Ince. I had never used the Govee app before and it is okay, intuitive and easy to use, but the constant ads are kinda annoying.

Great Kettle and Great Customer Service
I purchased this kettle in February and LOVED IT. It is such a convenience! I would have given it 5 stars for just doing its little job and making my life so easy. Unfortunately it quit working in June- just started beeping constantly and wouldn’t heat so the app requested I turn it off and report through the app’s customer service. I was so sad but did what was requested, then I went on vacation the next day and didn’t think about it for 2 weeks. When I returned home I saw a message from a customer service rep (who is possibly the most lovely person I have ever encountered, especially when presenting a concern) requesting further info. Once we chatted and shared details (she only needed to review the app info) she sent a replacement and it was to arrive in 10 days. It was at my house in two. Not only is this a GREAT KETTLE, customer service is 100 stars. I have used my replacement kettle every day since receiving it in June and it’s going strong.

Well, spoiled by ownership of a Smart brand smartpot for several years when a power surge early one morning ruined its ability to be controlled through our WiFI network. I went to reorder and found it is no longer an available product. A search was conducted and discovered GOVEE made a similar product. I ordered and received and installed. We already had GOVEE Hygrometer/Thermometers so were familiar with the company and it’s reliable products. The new pot installed easily and works well however it does take a bit longer to heat then the other brand. Our needs were met completely. Its best feature is for my wife who bakes breads and needs 122 degree water. It, like its’s predecessor, allows that ability. We are very happy and expect a long useful life with us based on the long life of their house management products we already have. It has a few options that are better than the old and that is ability to create different types of hot water and save those settings so you can repeat at touch of a button over the network. If you aren’t aware, proper brews of Coffee, Black tea, Oolong tea and Green tea are all dependent on different brewing temperatures. This pot accommodates all in presets as well as ability to “on the spot” change for something special. BTW, also has preset for baby formula! If you keep it loaded with distilled water, you can start the water heating from your bedroom so it is ready to use when you get to the kitchen!!

Excelente mientras duro!Me duro 1 año y 8 meses.La conexión con Alexa siempre funciono, aceptaba rutinas automáticas y control total por comandos de voz, como “calienta agua a 80 grados” y demás opciones de Te, cooffe y DIY.Sin embargo esta mañana la prendí normal y no se apago, seguía hirviendo el agua, y los 3 leds parpadeando con la alarma, en la App salio el error E2, y a pesar de resetearla varias veces, no se pudo reestablecer. Usuarios de Reddit mencionan qué solo un remplazo procede ya qué debe ser una falla interna.Si la compraría una vez más, o buscaria un modelo actualizado.

Bought two of these from Amazon.co.uk, so expected a UK plug. Can’t find a safe and suitable step down voltage convertor to use with it, so unable to use. Sent them straight back unused so can’t review the performance. They did sent adapter plugs, but these were UK to US ones! Really disappointed as they seemed great in the description and I’ve got other Govee products in the house.
