Perfect for pour overs!
I received this kettle just a few days ago but I’ve already put my old one away because I know this will be permanently replacing it. If you enjoy pour over coffee or tea, this might just be your new favorite kettle, too!The 1200W heating element boils water fast. Very fast. It comes with 6 preset temperature options which will cover pretty much everything you’ll want from it. The presets are (in fahrenheit) 140, 176, 185, 190, 205 and 208. These cover the recommended temps for Coffee (205), Black Tea (208), Green Tea (176), Oolong Tea (190) and White Tea (185). The owners manual covers all these recommended temperatures, and more, including cocoa and oatmeal temps. A slight downside is that these preset temps can’t be reprogrammed but you can manually set whatever temp you want to use. As far as setting these temps, and presets, it’s fairly simple but I do recommend reading your manual as it’s not entirely intuitive. You can quickly heat up water with the press of two buttons, as long as you use the same preset regularly, which is nice and convenient. A low beep, which can be turned off, indicating it’s done. You get a “hold button” which will allow the kettle to reach and maintain a set temperature for up to an hour. You’ll be able to lift the kettle from the base, and once placed back down, it will continue to maintain that temperature. There is a “count up timer/stop watch” feature, too. The glass touch panel is responsive and gives a nice premium look/feel.The pour control with the gooseneck spout is excellent. It gives a nice precise, steady pour which is great for slow extractions, etc. The balance of the kettle feels nice in the hand. No drips or sputters.The quality of the kettle itself seems good to me. The matte black gives a very modern look. It feels well made. The capacity of the kettle, which is 1 liter, is great for a couple of drinks. The base is pretty compact and doesn’t take up as much space as I expected. Not as compact as some but certainly not overly cumbersome on the counter.A couple things worth noting is that they include a small descaling powder packet, and the manual goes in depth on everything very clearly including a graph for high altitude use. Very thorough and definitely above and beyond for a kettle manual.Overall, this is a great fast boiling, stylish and precise kettle which I have found absolutely worth having on the counter.

Looks fantastic, works great and as expected, still holding up after daily use
Sleek and well designed kettle that looks really great on our counter! I love the matte black look and has replaced our previous stainless steel kettle which had nothing wrong with it, but this one by Bonavita is better in every way. The base is nice and sleek, the preset temperatures are easy to use and we use it pretty much daily without any issues. Exactly the quality I expect from the Bonavita brand since we have a coffee maker by them as well. The material of the kettle feels strong and the lid fits on nice and snug each time.The pour from the gooseneck tip isn’t the smoothest, but it works fine for our pour over coffee. You also want to follow the instructions and do two boils and discard the water first. There was a slight smell initially, not bad just noticeable. It even comes with some descaling solution which is a nice touch.Overall very happy with this kettle. A bit on the pricer side and you an maybe find more others at a lower price, but this checks off all our boxes and the aesthetics.

Great for coffee or tea
Digital display is bright and the capacitive touch is responsive to touch. Preset temperatures are set for the most common coffee and tea brewing temperatures so you can easily toggle through depending on your needs. Manual temperature selection. Is an option also. The kettle is easy to clean but it does hold back a little water that can be wiped dry if need be. The glossy finish does easily show fingerprints and other stains which requires frequent cleaning to keep looking clean.

Such a beautiful, functional electric kettle
I love this Kettle. It’s my first, and I am no expert so if you’re looking for a technical or a comparison review, move on. This is simply a review on how well this electric kettle has worked for me, my views on quality and durability. Not to to mention things that are important to me as well, like looks, value and most of all the taste of my coffee and tea.Firstly, I got the matte black, although I thought all the colors looked beautiful. The matte color, in my opinion, will go with all decor, looks modern and I don’t see any marks whatsoever.This kettle heats fast! I was impressed. I love how you can set the temp you most commonly use and you don’t have to reset it if you want the same temp each time. It’s so convenient that you can set it to maintain the temp for up to an hour.Bonavita has a great reputation and based on that, along with my limited use. I expect this to last me a long time and be useful to all members of my household.I love the way the gooseneck pours, it feels much safer and more stable than my regular kettle. I may retire the old style at this point.Everything I have made with it tastes great, it looks beautiful on my counter (and will look even better when my remodel is complete!) For the pricepoint at the time of this review, I think it’s a good value for the money.
