Fantastic USB C Hub for My iMac 24 Inch
I recently purchased the USB C Hub for my iMac and it has exceeded all my expectations! This hub has been an absolute game-changer for my setup, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. First of all, the build quality is outstanding. It feels sturdy and well-made, and the sleek design perfectly complements my iMac. The hub easily connects to my iMac without any hassle, and it fits snugly in place. One of the standout features is the variety of ports this hub offers. With multiple USB-A and USB-C ports, an HDMI port, and an SD card reader, I now have the connectivity options I’ve always needed. I can seamlessly connect my external hard drives, USB devices, and even extend my display to a second monitor through the HDMI port.The data transfer speeds are lightning-fast, and I’ve experienced no lag or interruptions when using this hub. Looks great, performs flawlessly on 24″ iMac M4.
Fit and color is perfectly matched to my Apple iMac M4 24″. My 12 year old HP Laserjet P1102w printer works nicely, USB-connected not wireless. My Brother scanner, ADS-1200, USB-connected works flawlessly. The remaining USB port in the hub works with my thumb drive. If this unit continues to perform as advertised, as it now does, then it is worth the price.Plus . . . there’s an ergonomic benefit, to avoid “text-neck” from looking down at a screen for hours. The hub raises the iMac screen by 1/4″ to 3/8″, which puts the top readable line of the screen at the proper height of my eye level.

A brilliant solution for something Apple should have done or made available in the first place.Engineering design is well thought out and elegant. It looks like it belongs to the machine. High quality materials use throughout and the blue tint to the aluminum perfectly matches Apple’s tint on the 24 inch M1 desktop.I like the fact that you don’t have another peripheral cluttering up the desktop. Functionally well executed. I ordered it with a Samsung 1Tb SSD and installation was very easy and data transfer via the USB-C interface is very fast. have had no hiccups when booting the system, like I have had with my older 15-inch MacBook Pro when using high capacity flash drives via the USB 3.1 ports.It’s rare that a product exceeds your expectations for delivering on the promise. This one does, and I highly recommend it to anyone with the need for expansion ports and increased storage on their iMac 24-inch machine.

Great addition to my desktop computer!
The hub fits perfectly on the computer stand and all the added inport were a big plus. It’s a bit pricey but the quality, stability and ease of use compensate the price.

There’s a lot to complain about, but it works well.
The bad:- This should have been USB 4 (literally every iMac this works with has it).- I can’t use my YubiKey with the USB-C port on the hub! I think that internally it’s sharing bandwidth with the SSD, so that port isn’t reliable when using the hub with SSD as intended.- Has a big logo on the front. If there are further revisions this needs to go away or be somewhere more hidden like the side, bottom or top where the foot sits. If apple doesn’t get a logo on the front, neither do you. 🙁 Can’t figure out a way to remove this Minisopuru logo without damaging the finish. (update: there previously was misleading marketing shots where there was no logo from the front. Now all shots that should include it, but they avoid wherever possible because it detracts from the item.)- fitment around the foot of the iMac is loose, needs to tighten up in every dimension a little bit.- moving where the cable comes out would allow it to use the original iMac box for travel without modifying the box.- should include a silicone sleeve or VHB tape or something to more semi-permanently attach the podium to the iMac. It needs to feel like one thing, not 2 things connected by a wire- the cable is slightly too short. All the marketing materials show it plugged into the first couple ports, but at USB 3 speeds, it should plug into the 3&4th port. The 4th plug on mine feels strained, like it doesn’t want to do that. It should support all 4 plugs.- microSD card slot feels stiff and tight, would prefer clicky and with much more give.- the LED on the side is too bright in a dark room, I put tape and some sharpie over it to dim it.The good stuff:- the blue color matching is really nice, it looks like a similar finish to my eyes.- the concept is excellent: it makes much more sense and is more elegant than the little things wrapping around blocking your speaker/fan/air vent.- light- connected to my SSD- had connected every port (when not using the SSD ):- looks nice from a distance- isn’t distracting (if you don’t look at the logo taking up over 10% of the front/foot of your computer)I would buy this exact same product, again, if it just supported full speed USB 4, (re)move the branding somewhere sensible (not the front), and changed the internal layout so that the hub is reliably usable even when the SSD is in full use.

I recently got a new IMac and if you are like me, just four C connectors on the back is NOT enough. I’ve got hard drives, 2 printers, label printers, a scanner, an editing deck for video, not a few flash drives, card readers for photo and video…so I NEED ports…lotsa ports. I got this unit in part because it sits UNDER the foot of the iMac, with no impact on the computer’s stability and easy access to the range of ports available. It is very handy for short term use of flash drives and card readers. It has worked with as part of my overall setup with no problems of compatability. It also has the capacity to add more memory in the unit, but for the moment I have not pursued that as I have quite an array of external disk capacity.
