Can I use an air mattress every single day as my primary bed?
The SoundAsleep air mattress is not designed to be used every day. It is not meant to replace a traditional bed that you would purchase at a store. Our air mattresses, and really all air mattresses regardless of brand, are meant as temporary beds, or for sporadic use. If you use it every day the mattress will degrade and not last as long as a traditional bed.
What is a top-up?
When the air mattress is used for more than 2 nights in a row, it is recommended that the user “top up” the mattress with 10 seconds of air.
Why is my air mattress losing air after setting it up?
Stretching is a natural characteristic of new vinyl air mattresses and the first few times you use the mattress. Some stretching will occur suggesting that the mattress is losing air. However, it is simply stretching under your body weight and this is normal for the first few uses. Just give it a top up with a little more air as needed!

Outstanding customer service
I’ve purchased this product twice, both times on Wirecutter’s recommendation. I’m not an air mattress aficionado, but I can say that this mattress has exceeded my expectations. The pump, though a bit noisy, is fast and easy to use, while the comfort adjust pump is completely silent and with no vibration. It keeps the mattress at your preferred firmness without fail. I wore out my first mattress after more than 5 years of use and no leaks. When I replaced it, I developed a leak or tear within the warranty period. I went to the website to file a warranty claim as I was falling asleep. When I awoke the company had already responded and had shipped me a replacement. No hassle, no back and forth, they just took care of me. They followed up to confirm everything was OK (it was), and my new mattress is perfect. I was so impressed by the quality of customer service. It was the kind of service we all wish we received, that our parents talked about, and that is so rare to find. I don’t write reviews often, and an air mattress is kind of a weird product for me to endorse, but if you want a comfortable, quality mattress with nice features and a company that stands behind their products and cares for customers, this is the one you want.

UPDATE 10/19/24: Grandson wanted me to buy another air mattress I was looking at past orders and saw this over a year after I bought it mind you so I emailed the company they emailed me the very next day asking me to call them. I called and told her what happened she said it’s been over a year and you did not buy the warranty but you also did not give us a bad review even after this happened. She said we are going to send you another one free of charge I did not even pay for the shipping. I was doubtful but three days later I received it. This was about four months ago we use it all the time and I’m glad to report it still blows up and when you get up the air goes back in and it is nice and quiet at first I didn’t think it was working because I did not hear it. I’m glad I’m the type of person who does not judge badly because something breaks you should always give someone the benefit of doubt because there is no one who can say everything they do is perfect sometimes you get something with a defect. I would order anything from this company they stand by there products. They have the best customer service I have ever dealt with. We need more companies like this one and I hope they start putting out a lot more products they are a little expensive but worth every penny. Thank you and please do not stop what you do and hope much you care.I absolutely loved this air mattress when air went out it would pump back up it was so comfortable we used it on the weekends when my grand son comes over we like to sleep in the living room because we can keep the tv on all night the first month maybe month and a half it was the best thing ever. Until it wasn’t we got it out on a Friday pumped it up and there was a huge lump right in the middle of it you could not get comfortable because it was so uncomfortable my grandson would not even go on it because it was that bad this was the first time I ever paid over 300 for a air mattress and at first it was totally worth it now I have a air mattress I cannot even use I didn’t even get my moneys worth for it. I’m so disappointed because if the lump did not mysteriously show up we would still be using it. I didn’t even replace it because I’m not trying to waste money again. It has really turned me away from buying pricey items because I cannot afford to throw money away. It would have been a great product if it would have been like it was when I got it.

Amazing customer service, unique firmness feature
As a few of the other reviewers, I too had an issue with my queen size mattress. In my case, the secondary pump was making a loud squealing sound, despite the primary pump working just fine and the bed holding air decently well.I knew from my previous purchase that the firmness pump should be nearly silent so I decided to call customer service at the company directly. I spoke to a very pleasant woman named Casey who was able to help me out. I purchased the bed for a road trip and going through the normal Amazon return process would not work. She was very understanding and made an exception to their normal policy to get me squared away.I appreciate the great customer support and understanding, while also looking forward to a great air mattress.My previous experience with this model of mattress allows me to comment on some of the features. The secondary pump, which maintains the level of firmness should not run 24/7, and it should be nearly silent. Perhaps a low rumble when sleeping. I found it to be rather soothing, but if someone was an extremely light sleeper they might need a disable this feature. That being said it has a really good job keeping the mattress pressure exactly where you want it. Overall the mattress is very comfortable and if you want that firm support you can definitely get it to the point where it’s uncomfortably firm. Luckily it just takes a twist to the dial and you can bring it down to whatever you enjoy.I must admit that the mattress is quite expensive, but at the same time it’s well made, and the customer service is rock solid. The latter has a lot of intrinsic value right off the bat.Thank you again.

There is a warning on the shipping box that the item may cause cancer or reproductive issues due to chemicals. I was going to return this item but the return window is closed. Not happy

Do not buy this, the secondary pump ran continuously until it burnt out and the mattress became a very expensive piece of plastic on the floor.

The mattress took 3 weeks to arrive, was easy to set up and inflate and provided a good level of comfort. It’s design with the 2 pump motors mounted on the edge of the mattress almost ensured that a seal separation around the motor housings would break, and after 5 months in pristine conditions, they did. First a 7 inch separation, which I repaired with Krazy Glue, then 2 weeks later, a 12 inch separation around the rest of the main housing. The Botley Store provided NO warranty beyond 30 days, No support, No exchange or refund. Sound Asleep Products did not sell the product or receive any sales revenue directly so they exclude themselves from any responsibility. Paying Premium for a mattress with no support will cost you even more.
