Comfortable mattress at a great entry-level price
I purchased the 10″ full-size hybrid mattress about a week ago when it was listed for $150. At that price point, I was mainly curious about the quality since I had just relocated and wasn’t looking to splurge on a high-end mattress. I’ve since noticed the price has gone up to $280+, and I am less certain about its overall value at that price point compared to competitors closer to the $150 range.Setup was straightforward, though it did take a couple of days to fully expand. By the first night, I could already get a sense of the firmness. To me, it feels more like a true medium rather than medium-firm, which I actually prefer. I added a lighter pillow topper, and the combination has been very comfortable so far.One of my main concerns was whether I would feel the coils, but even without the topper I couldn’t notice them at all. However, it is still springy, which is something I missed while I had my T&N all foam mattress. My only hesitation is long-term durability, given the lower price point. I used to sleep on a Tuft & Needle foam mattress with a topper that cost several times more, and while this Novilla is surprisingly comparable in comfort, I imagine the more expensive option may hold up better over time.Overall, after one week, I’m very happy with the purchase. For anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable mattress in the short to medium term, this seems like a solid option. Longevity remains to be seen, but first impressions are very positive.

    Surprisingly comfortable mattress
This mattress has been great (it’s been 2 years so far). It was easy to set up right out of the box and expanded quickly with very no smell. The pillow top is soft, but still supportive, and the hybrid design gives a nice balance between comfort and firmness. It’s super comfy to sleep on, and honestly I’m shocked at how comfortable it is for the price. It also feels supportive for the back and gives a restful night’s sleep. For the quality and price, this mattress is an excellent value and I’d definitely recommend it.

Solid Value, But Midsection Support and Shoulder Pressure Relief Fall Short
Budget-friendly but struggles with midsection supportUse: 4 months, ~194 lbs, broad shoulders, mostly side sleeper.Support: Started out fine, but after a month I noticed sagging in the hip/midsection area. This leaves my upper body slightly propped up in a “V” shape. Flipping the mattress head-to-foot helps for a bit, but the coils don’t feel strong enough to keep the spine aligned long term.Firmness: For people in my weight range (~190 lbs), this mattress feels quite firm. Lower body is supported, but side sleeping puts too much pressure on the shoulders. Lighter sleepers may not feel the sagging as much. If you need more cushion, the 14-inch model may be a better bet.Cooling: Works okay in colder months, but in warmer weather it traps heat. Not unbearable, but definitely on the warmer side.Price: I paid roughly $215 for the 12-inch model, which was a great deal at the time. The materials do feel surprisingly premium for this price range.Notes: Novilla doesn’t clearly state the depth of the individual foam layers (memory foam, transition or support foam), so keep that in mind if layer thickness is important for your comfort.Overall: For the price, it’s a fair hybrid that prevents deep sinkage. But if you’re heavier or broader in the shoulders, the coil strength and comfort may not hold up.

    Good Mattress Overall
I don’t think I would like a $2,000 mattress any more than this one. First, as others have noted. it is HEAVY. Unless you are pretty burly, two people will be needed to get it onto a bed. Any tiny bit of odor was gone in a day or two. I actually think the protector I used was responsible for most of the odor I noted. While everyone has a different opinion about firmness, I would rate this as medium firm or perhaps closer to medium than to firm. I would not rate this as a true pillow top, but that is fine with me as it should be a bit cooler in the summer. In any case, having a fluffy top on top of a rock has never made much sense to me. The best part of this mattress in my opinion is the firmness towards the edge. I inched over towards the edge while laying down, and I found that the edge was neither harder than the rest (which I often find and hate) nor did it create a tendency to have me slide off onto the floor. This makes the whole bed usable. I was afraid that the manufacturers hype would not actually be true, but here I think it is. Not sure how they did it, but it seems to work very well. I also tried sitting on the edge, which worked OK, but I didn’t buy a mattress to sit on in any case. After only a week of use I can’t comment on how it will hold up over time, but it certainly looks to be well made. I much prefer this design with springs as well as foam as it makes it much easier to move around. An all foam mattress does not spring back fast enough to help me roll over, making it more work to move about. My only possible negative comment is that the springs are pretty much at the bottom of the mattress such that I expect that this mattress would not work well if it were only supported by slats rather than a box spring or other flat surface. If I was using slats I would put a sheet of plywood under the mattress and on top of the slats. So, in conclusion, I will not write some over-the-top comments about this being the best mattress ever made, rather I conclude that it is apparently well made, very comfortable for me, and has just the right amount of support all the way to the edge.

    Good quality and Price
I recently purchased this king-size mattress, and it’s been an absolute game-changer for my sleep. It provides a peaceful and pain-free sleep without any back discomfort. The mattress has a medium firmness that offers excellent support for my back, and the thickness of 14 inches is perfect. It’s surprisingly quiet, so I won’t disturb my bed partner while getting off the mattress. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this mattress. It doesn’t have any unpleasant odors, and it’s been a great addition to my sleep setup.
