Be Careful with Like New
Be careful with the like new items. Mine was already registered by a previous customer and that voided the warranty. Would be nice of Amazon to inform the customer of this and Netgear would not honor my receipt as proof of purchase. It’s already hooked up with some help from Netgear technical support because it was previously registered and it works great. To lazy to hook up a new one, so I kept it.Update: It ended up dieing after a couple of months and Netgearcwould not honor any warranty and it was to late to return to Amazon, so I just threw it out. Lesson learned do not buy like new electronics from Amazon warranties are voided.

Nothing but frustration!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this system to replace an older Orbi system that I had that I really liked. It was reliable and easy to configure. It just couldn’t keep up with newer internet speeds. I didn’t want to pay an arm and leg for the latest Orbi systems so landed on this one. It set up easily just like my old Orbi mesh system and I was excited to have an upgrade to our WiFi. Unfortunately that excitement didn’t last. I had nothing but issues with connections dropping, speeds being even slower than my old system, and frustration from the entire family. After a few months I gave up and purchased an Eero system instead. The Eero has been fast, reliable, and easy and all the complains from family members about how bad the WiFi was with the Orbi suddenly stopped and everybody was happy. I’m sure the newer Orbi mesh systems that cost over $1000 up to over $2000 probably work great, but this one was a complete failure full of headaches and frustration. Do yourself a favor and either look to spend the premium bucks for the high end Orbi or get an Eero. If you buy this one chances are you’ll just wish you hadn’t.

It’s a very competent mesh system.
The system is just what I needed at a price point that was perfect for my needs. It was easy to install and set up by myself… leaving only a couple of settings that my grandson can tweak to make the system a little more functional. It was up and running within about a half hour from opening the box, to having the WiFi up and running. It’s strong enough for my needs and fast enough to meet my requirements.

Nice System, But No Single Satellite Purchase Option Available
Easy to install and get running. Knowingly, I opted for this wifi-6 system because I was replacing a very old, type-N, router. So, even this product is a great technology upgrade. The Amazon Black Friday price also made the jump to a Mesh system very affordable. My home is over 4000 sq. ft. and I also have an out-building with a buried Ethernet cable running to it. So, I need to add at least one satellite to extend the wi-fi service to it.I’m only giving it 4-stars rating because I’m disappointed that I have not been able to find a compatible satellite unit to expand the new mesh system. Its looking like I will have to purchase another complete system (router with 2-satellites) just to get the one satellite that I need. I have not been running this Mesh system very long, but the hardware is probably worthy of 5-stars though.

Very good system for my house
I replaced an older set of Orbi’s (slower) with this new set. They are must faster and give me the full band width of my provider through out my home. Setup was easy as I had a learning curve from my original set. I did experience one problem: I have a long house. My internet connection comes into one end of the house. I set the main router there and put two satellite units inline down the centerline of the house. The second satellite unit (furthest away from the main unit) does not connect to the intermediate placed unit. Rather it connects to the main router–sometimes with ‘good’ reception and other times with ‘poor’ reception. After a couple of hours with Orbi tech help, I found out that the satellite units always tries to connect to the main router, even if another satellite is providing a stronger signal–supposedly ‘this provides a faster connection.’ Do not understand why this is the case since I do get a ‘poor’ connection to the main router at times on the second satellite unit. Looks like I wasted my money on getting a second satellite unit. Even with this problem, I am getting full bandwidth throughout the house.

Solid product.
Yes it is not the latest version at this point, however, given the cost difference between this one and the latest, this is definitely worth every penny. I have had no drop outs, no connection issues and the speed/reliability has been everything i need it to be.The app does try to upsell you on useless items, but given that you really don’t need to get into it much, not a big deal.

Fixed Slow Internet Speed Areas
This is a great product. For the last 5 years I had three areas that had less-than-desirable internet speeds in my 2-story house.I changed Internet companies twice, and that helped. But still slow in those areas most of the time, e.g., Zoom would temporarily freeze up.I decided to try Orbi (by Netgear). I purchased the Orbi Router and two Satellites (one package). The Orbi app is great. It walked me through how to connect router and the satellites. I had all installed in 20 minutes, except to connect 3 Firesticks, printer to router, one more iPhone (mine connected automatically), security camera, PC, and laptop. I thought by naming the new WiFi and keeping the password the same, those devices would automatically accept the new router’s WiFi. They did not and, therefore, this step probably took another 45 minutes as my WiFi connected printer and app for security camera gave me challenges that I figured out. (Tip: Connect the printer directly to the Router/Satellites as that works best.)My speed is GREAT. It is now 300+ Mbps i(my plan is 300 Mbps) in every area of my house. Previously it was 10-20 Mbps or often lower in some areas. The coverage is great. The Signal strength is great. Again, it was easy to setup. It also automatically checked for a firmware update, but none was needed.
