Love the performance, not the wiring
I’ve been using the Meross Matter Human Presence Sensor (MS600) for a little while now, and overall I’m happy with it. The combination of PIR and mmWave radar makes presence detection much more reliable than a basic motion sensor, it doesn’t turn the lights off just because I’m sitting still at my desk. Setup through Meross app and Matter was easy, and it integrates nicely with my Homekit system.The light sensor is a nice bonus, and the adjustable base makes it easy to aim exactly where I want. Once it’s in place, it does exactly what I need, fast detection when I enter and stable presence sensing while I’m in the room.That said, I really wish Meross had made a battery-powered version. The sensor only works when plugged in, and the included cable is a bit messy, not looking good when connecting, and definitely limits where I can mount it. There were a couple of ideal spots in my home where I just couldn’t install it because there was no outlet nearby. A clean, wireless option would make this sensor close to perfect.Overall, I’m pleased with the performance and accuracy, but I’m hoping a future generation ditches the power cord or at least offers a battery option for more flexible placement.

Meross Smart Presence Sensor MS600 – Fits the bill!
I’ve been searching for a presence sensor since the beginning of winter to automatically turn on my garage and exterior lights whenever my man door is opened, as well as to alert me when motion is detected. I ultimately settled on the Meross MS600 due to its small footprint and because I already use several other Meross devices.What’s in the box:1 presence sensor6-foot USB-A to USB-C cable1 power adapterA well-written, multilingual instruction manualDouble-sided mounting tapeThree cable management clipsA half-round shield is also included to cover the bottom of the sensor if you have pets that might otherwise trigger false detections.. a thoughtful and much appreciated touch.Installation & Setup:Installation was a breeze using the included double-sided tape. I mounted the sensor near my door and plugged it into the nearest outlet. The base swivels in multiple directions, making it very easy to aim exactly where you want it.Once powered up, adding the sensor to the Meross app is straightforward. The app walks you through the entire setup process step by step. You’ll also want to share the sensor with your smart home hub.. such as Alexa, Apple HomeKit, or Google Nest.. especially if you want to trigger non-Meross devices.After sharing it with your hub, you can create automations based on presence detection. For example, I have mine set so that when a delivery driver opens my man door between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM, both my garage and exterior lights turn on. I also receive a voice notification from Alexa alerting me that motion has been detected in the garage. After 10 minutes, all the lights automatically turn back off.Final Thoughts:So far, this sensor has been rock solid and completely reliable. I give it a five-star rating. If you’re looking for a presence sensor that’s easy to set up, dependable, and has a compact design, I highly recommend the Meross Smart Presence Sensor MS600.

Decent pir/mmWave device for the money
After some tinkering with placement, and sensitivity, the sensor is working pretty reliably. I wish there was a way to set detection zones, and it would be nice if the pir and mmwave sensors were separated rather than being grouped into a generic “presence”, but that’s asking for a lot considering the price point. This is one of the cheapest devices that has pir and mmwave built in. I’m using both the meross lan and matter integrations in home assistant. Matter only shows presence and lux, while the meross lan integration shows more details, and you’re able to change detection distance, etc. Not sure if I’ll purchase additional units, but I’ll be keeping this one for sure.

Endless Possibilities for Smarter Automations – Great Product!
I’ve been using the meross 3-in-1 presence sensor for a few weeks now, and it’s easily one of the most reliable sensors I’ve added to my smart home. The combination of PIR and mmWave makes a noticeable difference—unlike standard motion sensors, this one can actually tell when someone is still in the room even if they’re not moving around. That alone solved a lot of the false “room is empty” automations I used to run into. I also love that it integrates with my Apple Homekit to allow me to use SIRI to create control scenarios.Setup was straightforward. I’m using it across multiple ecosystems, and the Matter support really does make it feel more stable and responsive. I’ve had zero issues with lag or dropped connections. The adjustable mount is also more useful than I expected; it made it easy to position the sensor exactly where I needed it without drilling a bunch of holes.Presence detection range and motion detection are both solid. It picks me up consistently from across the room but hasn’t been triggered by my dog since I installed the pet shield. The built-in light sensor has been great for more refined lighting automations as well.One specific scenario I am using the sensor for is in my home music studio: mostly because I’m notoriously bad about leaving gear powered on when I walk away. Some of my equipment is expensive and I don’t want it running for hours just because I forgot to flip a switch. At the same time, I didn’t want a setup that kills the power the moment I stop moving—sometimes I’m sitting perfectly still while editing audio, or I step out for a minute to grab coffee. With this sensor, I was able to set up an automation that checks whether the room has been empty for 30 minutes and then does a soft, orderly shutdown of everything. The combination of PIR and presence detection has been accurate enough that it never shuts things off while I’m quietly working, but it also hasn’t missed a single time when I truly left the room. It’s solved a problem I’ve had for years without me needing to babysit anything.Overall, this sensor does exactly what it promises and fills a gap that basic motion sensors can’t. If you’re building out a smart home and want more accurate automations, this is a great choice.

Lo he estado probando durante mas de 1 semana y aquí están mis conclusiones:Pros:- La detección automática de movimiento/presencia me permite que al entrar en una habitación se encienda la luz sin ningún mando: una comodidad muy apreciable en mi día a día.- Muy buena integración con Amazon Alexa: desde la app de Alexa configuré que, al detectar presencia, se active un enchufe inteligente que tengo conectado a la lampara. Funciona fluido y sin controles complicados.- El sensor de luz ambiental (que regula la automatización según el nivel de luminosidad) añade un plus que evita que la luz se encienda cuando ya hay luz natural abundante.- Instalación sencilla: en mi caso fue rápido conectarlo al enchufe/interruptor y a la red WiFi. No tuve que hacer demasiados ajustes. Viene con un adhesivo para enganchar a la pared o desde el propio dispositivo se puede mover una placa que tiene atrás para apoyarlo en si mismo, algo muy util.- Buena fiabilidad en la detección: he experimentado que cuando entro en la estancia la luz se activa al instante, y cuando salgo/no hay movimiento se apaga tras unos segundos, lo cual ayuda a ahorrar energía.- El tamaño me ha sorprendido para bien, es muy pequeño y ligero. También viene con una tapita para ocultar una parte del sensor para que no se active si hay mascotas por casa, algo realmente util, que pensaba al principio que no funcionaria, pero va mejor de lo que me esperaba.Contras:- Requiere conexión eléctrica permanente (no depende de baterías). Si lo instalas en una zona sin fácil acceso a una toma o cableado, puede implicar más trabajo.- En espacios muy amplios o con obstáculos puede que la detección tenga pequeños fallos: por ejemplo, si la habitación tiene muchos muebles altos o está muy compartimentada, el sensor tarda un poco más en captar la presencia.- Si bien la integración con Alexa ha sido fluida en mi uso, si tienes un ecosistema muy diferente (por ejemplo HomeKit, o otro sistema de automatización poco habitual) puede requerir algo más de configuración.- Sería deseable un manual más detallado en castellano (aunque la app hace gran parte del trabajo).En definitiva, el sensor Meross MS600 me ha generado una excelente impresión: cumple con lo prometido, facilita la automatización de la iluminación de una manera práctica y fiable y se integra muy bien con mi sistema doméstico inteligente basado en Alexa. Por tanto, lo recomiendo sin dudar para cualquiera que quiera dar un paso hacia una casa más “smart” con mínimo esfuerzo.

Ich nutze den Meross Matter Präsenzmelder jetzt seit einigen Wochen und bin wirklich begeistert. Die Einrichtung war dank Matter-Unterstützung total einfach – kein zusätzlicher Hub nötig, einfach über HomeKit hinzugefügt und sofort erkannt.Die Reaktionszeit ist sehr schnell, und die Empfindlichkeit lässt sich in der App gut einstellen. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass der Sensor nicht nur Bewegung, sondern auch tatsächliche Anwesenheit erkennt – ideal für mein Smart-Home-Setup mit automatischer Beleuchtung und Sicherheitsfunktionen.Auch die Benachrichtigungen über die Meross-App kommen zuverlässig und ohne große Verzögerung. Das Gehäuse wirkt hochwertig, der Sensor ist klein und unauffällig, lässt sich also gut in jedem Raum platzieren.Ich habe ihn mit Alexa, Google Home und Apple HomeKit getestet – überall funktioniert er tadellos. Für mich eines der besten Smart-Home-Geräte von Meross bisher. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die ihre Heimautomatisierung auf das nächste Level bringen möchten!

J’ai testé le capteur avec l’app Maison d’Apple.Le capteur de présence et luminosité MS600 est génial pour plusieurs raisons :- il combine plusieurs technologies pour la présence et mesure la luminosité- il apparaît dans HomeKit comme 2 capteurs (présence et luminosité) c’est très pratique- on peut facilement créer des automatisations avec sur l’app ou Homekit- il est fiable et il n’y a pas de faux positifs- il détecte très rapidement même si on marche vite, c’est bluffant !- pas besoin de pile, il se branche en usb au secteur- l’adapteur est fourni (ça devient rare donc appréciable)- il est plutôt abordable, le rapport qualité-prix est excellent- pas besoin d’un hub domestique à la marque : un HomePod, un Google Nest ou autre ça fonctionne- compatible Matter- du matériel de fixation est fourni (j’ai préféré la patafix pour pouvoir le déplacer au besoin, ça marche très bien)Comme il n’a pas de pile on oublie qu’il est là et c’est vraiment bien.Il ridiculise les classiques capteurs de mouvements clairement, c’est super au quotidien.Cependant il y a quelques points à améliorer :- la langue française dans l’application Meross est mal orthographiée.- son avantage est aussi un inconvénient : il se branche au secteur via USB-A vers C donc sans prise c’est vite compliqué de le placer- il faut être ou passer devant de manière perpendiculaire pour que la détection soit optimale. En effet, si vous restez allongé immobile et que le capteur est en face, ça ne marche pas, il considère que vous êtes absents. Je l’ai déplacé derrière moi en haut et la détection marche beaucoup mieux (peut-être parce qu’il voit les mouvements de respiration davantage?).- il est rapide mais une compatibilité Thread aurait été un bon bonus surtout si on en a plusieurs et qu’on a d’autres produits compatibles Thread- le câble est peut-être un peu court, ça peut limiter le positionnement surtout qu’il faut le brancher au secteur- une version à pile serait bonne surtout quand on est limité par sa maison (manque de prises)- quand il perd la connexion (c’est arrivé une fois) il clignote et c’est vraiment désagréable surtout la nuitExemple d’automatisation que j’ai créée : Si une présence est détectée entre 8h et 12h, que la luminosité de la pièce est de -200 lux, alors allume la lumière. La détection de luminosité évite que le capteur allume la lumière s’il y a suffisamment de lumière dans la pièce.Selon le moment dans la journée je ne voulais pas la même intensité de lumière donc j’ai créé 3 automatisations différentes. On peut transformer en raccourci les automatisations (comme ici) pour ajouter des conditions, c’est simple et ça fonctionne sur le HomePod donc c’est rapide et efficace !J’ai eu des soucis de configuration car je n’avais pas vu que le rideau gênait le capteur dans sa détection (c’est pareil pour les ventilateurs d’ailleurs). La configuration est cependant rapide, simple et peut se faire sans l’application (cependant je trouve qu’il vaut mieux passer par l’application la 1e fois).J’ai pas d’animal de compagnie donc je n’ai pas pu tester le cache destiné à éviter la détection d’animaux.Malheureusement chez moi j’ai peu de prises voire pas du tout dans certaines pièces. J’ai mis le détecteur face à l’entrée (perpendiculaire aux passages), dans la pièce d’à côté car je n’ai pas de prise. Ça fonctionne très bien du moment que le rideau n’est pas fermé.La couleur blanche sur ce produit est plus discrète (surtout quand les murs sont blancs), mais le noir est très élégant et joli.Peut-être pouvoir avoir un visuel (sorte d’image avec des points en 3D) de ce que détecte l’appareil serait utile surtout quand on tâtonne sur où le placer, et s’il détecte ce qu’on veut qu’il détecte.Je remercie le SAV qui est très réactif et m’a aidé à résoudre le problème du rideau. L’app indique ce qui peut gêner la détection donc c’est bien au début pour savoir quoi changer et où le placer.Il faut éviter de le placer trop haut ou trop bas sinon il ne détecte pas. Dans mon cas c’était en le plaçant au niveau de la poitrine que j’ai remarqué une détection fiable. Merci !
