Another great Lorex product
I just added a couple of these cameras to my existing Lorex security camera network. They were easy to connect and offer a wide array of custom configuration options. All you need is an A/C power connection and a WIFI network. These are PTZ cameras so they allow you to change the target view as needed.

This is a really nice camara it’s doing great for two years but I’m replacing it because you can’t see any video recorded in the sd card.

easy setup–worked great for one day–tracking movement is a little slow–alerts are really slow sometimes 2-3 minutes !! resolution is really good–the only thing i could get to work the 2nd day was a still picture no notifications even after my gf got home from work pulled in the garage and walked to the front door no alerts or tracking !! reset–uninstalled camera and app re installed everything– NOTHING ..contacted cs and in 3 days not a peep from them !! after i bought the camera was just surfing about them and i found out the company had been banned from the use by fcc–SWEETboxed it up and away it went, going with the Arlo Pro 4 Outdoor WiFi Security Camera this time same money and great reviews

Great quality for the price!
If you are looking for a PTZ camera and a decent price point, this is the one for you! Integration to existing NVR Lorex systems that use the Lorex App are a piece of cake! I’ve personally purchased 4 of them and each NVR/System has been different. The application is the same, watching what’s going on around the houses/farm! You can’t go wrong with this camera. The motion detection can be a little sensitive at times but there are adjustments you can make to better fit your liking!

Home surveillance
Pan cameras are never exactly what you want because they’re wireless and they can lag a little bit depending on the load you put on your wireless system but ours is very good that is the wireless and almost no lie at all. The notice on the building of the camera of the camera itself has really slowed the traffic down our street so it is helping especially when you have a feed going directly to the police department 🙂

When plugged into my 4K NVR, camera will detect car’s driving by but not people walking by. I was told by Lorex that this WiFi camera will not detect people when connected to NVR. (If I understood correctly) It detects cars, and sends notifications to my phone, but not people? What?! Why?! Is it that the same detecting mechanism in the cameras that came with the NVR couldn’t be put into this camera?The camera does everything else but detect potential walking criminals.I will be happy to give a higher rating if this is not the case and your phone tech just didn’t know how to resolve.I’m contemplating returning this camera.UPDATEI purchased again.Although the above is still true when plugged into the NVR, this camera turns out to be usefully versatile when either plugged in (ethernet cable) or connected via wifi and AC power transformer.Ethernet connectivity allows full manual control of pan and tilt with VEHICLE tracking ONLY, while WiFI connectivity can automatically pan and tilt and track people and cars. Great!With WiFi , Camera will constantly be in motion if camera is facing a street with lots of moving vehicle traffic and motion detection turned on. Notgood!i recently purchased again and use them at two different locations. One Ethernet cable connected and the other WiFi.I would give it 5 stars if camera’s versatility could be upgraded with a software update, thereby allowing for tracking of potential criminal pedestrians while directly connected to NVR

This Wi-Fi or direct plug into a DVR is easy to install and works very well Lorex has been around for a while now and there products are becoming better as time goes on,If you have a LOREX DVR System already you can easily hard wire it into your existing LOREX surveillance systemI recommend this camera to anyone who has a 115 V plug 🔌 near by or simply get a extension cord run it through a metal conduit and into a steel junction box high up on any pole within range of your Modem and motion detection and operation through your phone LOREX APP will operate the camera fine!A very good camera for the price,I yet to see how long it will last in PVR Mode in -15 to -25c weather and how long the gears last,But as it stands I would recommend this camera

Camera lasted about a month and a half before it started randomly disconnecting from Wi-Fi. Factory resets don’t help as the camera will only work for about an hour before it starts disconnecting again.Worked great initially but now I’m unable to return this since the return window is gone – refund through their website doesn’t work either because it doesn’t recognize the purchase order #. Do not buy this.
