Great item, easy to use
Works amazing. I have it hooked up to my Christmas tree and get to easily adjust the brightness. I can also use it to completely turn off the lights so no more reaching behind the tree. Wire length is perfect and the control is smooth and easy to adjust.

a very good dimmer with a minor shortcoming
It works, is easy to set up, is durable, and its switch operates with a good smooth balance between resistance and speed. When used with LED bulbs it does not produce flicker. However, if the switch is pushed to full power, the attached light tends to cut out and stay dark until the switch is turned off and then on again. Hence the rating of four instead of five stars.

Making any Table lamp Dimmable with just a slide away
The Leviton TBL03-10W has been one of the best investments that I have made for my computer desk lamp. This switch is a step-less switch so you an slide it however bright you want it to be, dim enough so your eyes will not feel irritated at night. Do note that not all dimmer light bulbs would work for this switch. I’d suggest you to try each light dimmer compatible light bulb to see if it can dim or not. If it does not dim smoothly, it is most likely not compatible with the slider switch. No, it isn’t the Leviton’s fault, but more so of the light bulb and how it is built with how there dimmer seemless transitions. The light bulb that I use that worked for me are the Phillips LED dimmer light bulbs (not the hue version) and they work a charm. Keep in mind that it can work a maximum of 60 watts total. Exceeding that rating can cause some serious damage to you are the switch itself.I have had this switch since 2014 and been sliding the switch almost daily. All I can say is no loss in the sliding friction and has remained its same force since day one. So this in part will speak volumes in terms of lifespan because it has not failed on me once. I would also recommend this if the light that you want to access is pretty far away and you want too relocate the switch. The cord isn’t long, however, it is long enough to relocate the slider switch to a convenient location so you ave better access.

Our pre-lit Christmas tree is extremely bright – to the point that we couldn’t see most of the ornaments. This dimmer was the perfect answer!

I have the Lutron brand of the same device and this Leviton brand unit works better with a standard table lamp and LED (dimmable) bulb. The other brand dims between 20%-100% brightness. The Leviton dims between ~5%-100%.FYI neither brand works with the (Kasa) smart bulb I bought.Mine is plugged into a power strip, but if I had to plug it in the wall behind my bed, the plugs would stick out too far.

Yo instalé el regulador en lamparas de buró y me han funcionado muy bien. Debo decir que cambié el foco de una de ellas de mini-espiral a incandescente, ya que con el foco de espiral la luz parpadeaba a baja intensidad.
