Requires A G8 Z-Wave Stick?
Z-Wave Plus HomeSeer plugin and Plus series 700 or 800 controller is needed for a HomeSeer system.I was able to add the motion sensor with the legacy HomeSeer plugin but it would not wake up again and setting would not load. Confirmed with HomeSeer that the Plus plugin is required. I had to upgrade my plugin with help from HomeSeer Support and other users on the forum but got it working.These motion sensors have been great for my bathrooms to trigger lights so I bought this G8 series for my kitchen.

Works With Home Assistant
Inclusion into my Home Assistant network with a Zooz 800 series Z-wave LR USB stick was pretty straightforward. This device supports S2 security and can be powered by a CR123A battery (included) or via micro USB connection (when powered by micro USB, the device can also act as a Z-wave repeater).Sensitivity is better than my Monoprice IR motion sensors, even at the default (4) sensitivity level. The following configuration setting parameters are available:12 Motion Sensitivity (1-8)14 Motion Sense Command Enable/Disable (default=enabled)15 Values for Basic Set Command (255 for motion sense and 0 for timeout, or vice versa)16 Motion Timeout Command Enable/Disable (default=disabled)17 Enable Shock Sensor (default=enabled)18 Motion Timeout Interval (0-65535 seconds, default=30)19 Motion Sensor Enable/Disable20 LED Activity (Off, or Flash when motion detected)32 Low Battery Threshold (0-50%, default=10%)

Not compatible with smartthings anymore
There is no official edge driver and no user created one that I can find. This means that the device connects to smartthings as a generic zwave device and does not function as a motion detector in any manner. I guess you could create your own driver from an existing edge driver but I just returned it for a device that is supported by its manufacturer. Don’t buy this for use with smartthings.
