Works with Home Assistant
For anyone wondering, this does work with Home Assistant. I’m using ZHA and it paired quickly with my Skyconnect stick. It reports the status quickly and because of that automations are less than a second. I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks though so battery life is a mystery. It doesn’t look that good so far since I’m at 90% already. But I’m not going to deduct any points for that because I also don’t trust the battery reporting for Zigbee devices in Home Assistant. I’m betting it last much longer than the pace I’m currently on. But the only way to really know for sure is to get it for yourself and see how it is in the long run.EDIT: It has been exactly 3 months since this review since I’m writing this on May 14th. So I have two of these. One on a door that’s rarely used and it’s still reporting 100% battery life. The other on a closet in the Master bedroom which gets used a lot and it’s showing 75%. Although it dropped to 85 quickly after 1 month, but has only dropped 10% in the past two months. Feels like I’m on pace for a year and half of battery life at least. Not great by standards set by other sensors like the Aqara, but this amount of time is perfectly fine IMO.The other thing that many people have docked the score for is the slow reporting. Mines are no different. They often take long breaks in between each report. Mostly it reports once or twice a week but it once took 3 weeks. I don’t blame others for being upset by that. It’s just that I’m personally not too bothered by it. I’m still going to have a good idea of how close the batteries are to dying. So I’m keeping the score the same because it does its job of reporting the state quickly with good or sufficient battery life. But if you’re someone who wants to see battery reports often, this is not the sensor for you.

Works great with Hubitat, no issues, reliable and fast
Using this w/Hubitat (and should work w/SmartThings) and it has been a reliable and fast reporting contact sensor. I have it in an awckward location at my house at the edge of my mesh, and it’s havig no troubles at all. The device is small and easy to “hide in place” and works w/out issue. You can use the built-in drivers on Hubitat, and there is also a community-developed driver. Recommended!
