Brews great.
Yes they do create a little spillage when pouring in to a coffee cup. Looking into how I can correct that.

Crappy carafe
While I like the coffee maker, the carafe is absolutely THE WORST EVER!! Whoever designed this carafe definitely flunked 10 years of carafe making college and should be fired. Trying to pour a cup of coffee, LOTS of coffee ends up on the counter instead of the cup. There’s no way you can pour coffee at a table without making a mess! Pour the coffee over the sink. Thinking about sending it back just for this reason .Update! Just talked to ninja support and was told they don’t have a carafe to send me so they’re sending me a complete new coffee maker. 😯 Will see if the new carafe leaks or not. 🤞Update on “Crappy Carafe” .Received a complete new 14 cup coffee maker and YAY, the carafe doesn’t leak! I’m now a happy customer!

Difficult to make small amounts
Makes good coffee but if you want to make a small amount, like 1-4 cup you need to empty the tank and have only the amount of water that you need in it. Returning it because of this reason.

Just replaced our previous Ninja coffee maker with this new model. The makers listened! They improved the carafe design so you can pour with no dribbling! The side water tank is more convenient than when it was on the back. Currently infatuated with this machine!

Finally, somebody thought through how to design a coffeemaker!
We started out years ago with Braun coffeemakers, then went to Cuisinart. But our last 14 cup Cuisinart lasted only three years, so we decided to give Ninja a try.Why did it take so long for designers to come up with a detachable water reservoir? That’s one of the main reasons we bought this model. It is also fairly easy to program for the coffee to be made before we wake up. Also, the carafe is well-designed. The last Cuisinart carafe dribbled when we poured. How ridiculous is that?The attached coffee scoop is a nice touch – again, well-thought-out. And the unit makes good coffee. No complaints there.I hope this thing lasts, because well are very pleased with it.

Still unsure of the price-to-value ratio, but it’s an awesome coffee maker nonetheless.
So let’s get the uncomfortable thing out of the way first, yes, this coffee maker’s price is up there, like most of the Ninja stuff, so is it worth it?From a feature’s stand point I was hoping for a bit more, yes it has that cool “rich” coffee option, where the coffee maker let’s the coffee seep in the hot water longer to get more flavor out of the coffee and yes the water container can be removed and filled so you don’t have to use the picture to fill it up but and yes it comes with a coffee measuring scoop (more on that later) and yes the included filter that you will never have to replace is cool too but, apart from these, it has the same stuff that other coffee makers of the same size have and those are like half the price: a clock and delay brew so your coffee is ready to go when you wake up and a plate that stays hot to keep the coffee warm.The coffee scoop is a nice touch, but I feel it’s almost a gimmick. Don’t get me wrong is nice that the scoop is the perfect amount for two cups of coffee, but the way it attaches to the side of the coffee maker is not a snug fit. On the other hand, the instructions are almost non-existent, I had to pretty much figure out how to use this thing on my own, something not cool at this price point.I feel that one of the main things going for it is the quality, Ninja makes great stuff and they tend to last for a long time, but for the price, I was expecting more functions, since it has a huge reservoir I was expecting a way to select how much coffee I wanted to brew for example, that way I could fill the reservoir all the way to the top and make coffee 3 times just for me without having to refill it, that would’ve been a game changer. The functions are just too basic for an item at this price point, in my opinion,n and that’s where I think they missed the mark.Overall, I like it, I think it’s an awesome product, but I think it’s overpriced and not worth the cost, that’s why I give it 4 stars. Also, the box came damaged, but that’s not the seller’s fault, just something they should keep in mind.
